Description
English: Jaro Cathedral, or the Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral, was completed in 1874. It is declared as the national Shrine of Our Lady of Candles. It was also declared a national landmark by the National Historical Institute in 1976. It is one of the oldest cathedrals in the Province of Iloilo, which serves as a living witness of Ilonggos' rich historical past. It is also the home of the miraculous Our Lady of Miraculous Medal, providing a very spiritual ambience to the church.
