| Description |
English: The Iron Bridge, Barnstaple. The Iron bridge used to carry the link between the ex-Great Western Railway and Southern Railway lines in Barnstaple. This allowed GW trains from Taunton to continue through to Ilfracombe. Despite the line closing in the early 1960s and the value of the metal for scrap, the bridge survived to become a pedestrian and cycle bridge. |
