English: This photograph captures a potato exploding as it is launched at a boulder. The boulder is unaffected by this impact due to its mass being hundreds of times larger than the potato’s mass. The potato explodes in this fashion because the force of the potato moving forward was so strong that it couldn’t keep its shape once coming in contact with the bolder, causing that motion to turn 90 degrees. |
