Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Incline at Briton Ferry - geograph.org.uk - 207112.jpg |
English: The Incline at Briton Ferry. This was once part of the route of the 'South Wales Mineral Railway' engineered by Isambard Kingdom Brunel to link the collieries at Glyncorrwg in the Afan Valley with the Docks at Briton Ferry. The incline gradient is about 1 in 10 and the coal wagons were lowered by means of a wire cable from the Incline Top. |
