I hear these Blairs are at the bottom of all this warpolicy. Old Blairs country place was threatened, andhis family, including the fanatical Mrs. Lee, had to flyinto the city. This lady was the one who said to methat she wished the North to be deluged with the bloodof the South ere Lincoln should yield one iota ! Do not believe all you hear about the Northernsympathy for Lincoln. The Democrats still feel for theSouth. If Congress does not denounce Lincoln for hisunlawful and unconstitutional proceedings, I shall beginto think we have no country!
