Description

The House That Moved, also known as Merchant House, is a timber-framed Tudor building in Exeter that escaped demolition through relocation.

In 1961, to make way for a new bypass, the 21-tonne building was moved on rollers from its original location on the corner of Frog Street to its current location at the bottom of West Street, some 220 feet (67 metres) away.
