Description I managed to successfully reduce the appraisal of my house for tax purposes today. I had reduced the value by $17000 a year ago, but they just racked it back up for this year. I managed to get them back down to "only" a $7000 raise in my home value. My taxes have shot up 77% since I moved into Cypress in 2009.
