THE HANDEL AND HAYDN SOCIETYMr. Emil Mollenhauer, Conductor Mr. H. G. Tucker, Organist
Text Appearing After Image:
IN SYMPHONY HALL, 1914 Boston Festival Orchestra, Mr. J. W. Crowley, Principal MAY 26 I913 TO MAY 2$ I914 71 Board as may be present after notice is given 24 hours beforemeetings. This vote practically made every member of the Boarda member of the Executive Committee and destroyed any use-fulness of the committee. The purpose for which an executivecommittee was chosen was to enable the Board to act promptlyIn matters of detail without the necessity of calling thirteen mentogether. Enlarging the committee to thirteen could not be ex-pected to increase its efficiency. Mr. MoUenhauer and Mr. Tucker were re-elected Conductorand Organist without change in salaries, which were $1,200 and$350. As the one hundredth anniversary of the Society was to becelebrated in April 1915, a committee was appointed by the Presi-dent, by vote of the Board, to prepare plans for the festival. Thecommittee were Messrs. Bradbury, Russell, Brooks, Hatch, andBrodhead, all of them members of the Board of Governmen
