| Description |
English: The Gravel's Gone. The landscape around Thurrock and Havering is scattered with worked out sand and gravel pits. These give plenty of choice for local anglers, however fishing rights are jealously guarded! This is an example of a lake to the north of Baldwins Farm. With the cessation of gravel extraction there is now public access as it has become part of Thames Chase Community Forest. |
