| Description |
English: The Glover's Needle, Worcester This belonged to the former St Andrew's Church which was otherwise demolished in 1949. The tower dates from the 15th century, although the spire was a later addition, erected in the 1750s. The tower is built of red sandstone but was resurfaced with limestone in the 18th century. The affectionate name 'The Glover's Needle' refers to glove manufacturing which took place at the Dent factory in the city. |
