HIBISCUS. CARGE growing trophical shrubs.with very glossy foliage. The plants, under the hottest sun, produce enormous flowers in great numbers, and make noble specimens. They can be grown in tubs and kept for years. The blooms average five or six inches in diameter, and are gorge- ously colored. The plants can be wintered over in a warm, dry cellar. Price, 8c each, except where noted. e£* Double Flowering* & Auriantica—Large, double orange-colored flowers. Very novel and attractive. The above cut gives a true representa tion of this beautiful flower. Price, 10c each. Collerii—A remarkably new, distinct variety, introduced from the South Sea Islands. Flowers, buff-yellow, with a crimson-scarlet base, and peculiarly handsome. Price, 10c. Miniatus Semi-Plenus—Semi-double flowers of a bright vermilion-scarlet; petals waved and recurved; the flowers noticeable for the absence of formality, but are very hand- some. Price. 10c each. , _ Rubra—A magnificent double variety, large red-flowers. Zebrinus—Double, outer petals scarlet, edged with yel- low ; inner petals very irregular, curiously variegated with creamy yellow-scarlet. SEE SPECIAL OFFERS No. 37 and No. 38, Page 56. Single Flowering* & Cooperii Tri=CoIor—Foliage beautifully variegated with dark green, pink and white„flowers crimson. This beautiful tri-color plant is one of rare magnificence, and is unequalled by any other plant in brilliancy of foliage. Strong plants, 10c. Carminatus Perfectus—Full, round flower of perfect shape, and of a rich, soft carmine-rose, with a deep crimson eye. A beautiful free-blooming variety. Denisonii—The moat distinct of all Hibiscus. On account of the difficulty in propagating, it will always be scarce. Color, a delicate carmine, and changes to pure white. Price, 15 cents each. Decorus—Foliage very large and lobed; flowers enormous, on long stems, of a beautiful rosy-carmine color; the stamens and pistils are very showy; the stigma is large, circular and golden-yellow. Gen. de Courtigis—A very grand, large-sized flower; single light scarlet; very showy. Grandiflorus—Rich, glossy foliage; blooming profusely through the Summer, literally covering the plants with scarlet-crimson single flowers. Magnificus—Very large flowers, and of perfect form; color, deep magenta, ends of petals touched with brown; foliage finely touched. Rosa Sinensis—Flowers red and very large, averaging nearly five inches in diameter. Versicolor—A variety combining in its flowers all colorp of the whole family, being handsomely striped crimson, buff- rose and whitp.
