Messrs. Jas. Veitch & Sons exhibiteda good number of fine Orchids during thepast year, among them being the veryhandsome Odontoglossum Aurora, one ofthe finest of O. Rossii rubescens crosses, and for which a First-class Certificatewas given. Awards of Merit were recom-mended for Brasso-Cattleya Ilene andB.-C. Marion, two very showy novelties ;Loelio-Cattleya Invincible var. Orama,almost entirely rich claret-red; L.-C.Frederick Boyle Veitchs variety, andthe pretty Cypripedium Idina, shown onDecember 17.
