DRAC-ENAS AND BEOMELIAD3.were well shown, and very effective. In Class 115(twenty-five Dracrcnas), M. Draps Dom. of Latken,iamed for his success as a grower of ornamental plants,pecured 1st prize with a very fine lot: the 2nd going toM. L. de Noeile. of Mont St. Amand ; and the 3rd toM. Wattecamps-Syvei.len, of Ghent. Class 122 (thirty Bromeliads) was an interesting one.the Gold Medal going to M. L. Poelman. of MontSt. Amand, for a very showy collection of hybrids ofVriesia brachystachys and A*, psittacina, in flower, withscarlet and yellow bracts and tiowers of various shades,V. nigrescens being nearly black. For fifteen Bromeliacere, in flower, Messrs. L. Duvalet Fils were 1st; and in Class 124 (fifteen specimenBromelias) M. Delaruye-Cardon, of Ledeberg, wassuccessful in gaining 1st prize.

Class 117), an improvement onthe brilliantly-coloured D. terminalis stricta, andwhich bids fair to become one of the best-colouredDracaenas for market and decorative purposes. In the classes for the yellow variegated DracaenaLindeni and D. Massangeana, the 1st prizes went in theformer class to M. Lamueau, of Brussels, and in thelatter to M. Story, of Ghent. The 1st prize for twenty-five Dracaenas of the samespecies, with coloured foliage, was won by MessrsDe Rense, of Saffelaere; the 2nd going to M. Story, ofGhent. For a single specimen Bromeliad, M.
