The Kibble leaves exhibit a dark green metallic hue on theirupper surfaces, and below are deeply tinged with red,Messrs. Haage & .Schmidt, of Erfurt, introducedthe species from Rio Grande do Sul, and Dr. Regelnamed it in honour of the senior member of the firm. New Sardinian Oak.—Sig. A. Bouzi describes in a recent number of the Nuovo GionialeBotanico Italiano an Oak growing in Sardinia inassociation with Q. Ilex and Q. Suber.
