| Description |
English: The Free Church of Scotland, Portree. The Free Church of Scotland is a Presbyterian Church adhering to the position adopted by the Church of Scotland at the reformation. Its divergence from the Church of Scotland dates from the Disruption of 1843. This present church building in Portree was vacated in 1900 by the former United Presbyterian Church and has been the Free Church building since 1920.
Services are held in English, Gaelic and sometimes in a mixture of the two. |
