.V DixKXXiAi, Kkcokd 85 THE DECEXXIAI. The culmination of the first ten years of the hfe ofthe laboratory came with the Decennial Celebration onJuly 22 and 23, 1920, at Madison, Wisconsin. That theten years M-as fruitful of no small measure of service andestablishment of good will among those whom the lab-oratory was intended to serve is shown b)^ the registra-tion during the two days festivities, which were attendedby 269 visitors from 22 states and Canada and PortoRico. Largely drawn from the nations wood-usingand forest and lumbering interests, these representativebusiness men and friends were given opportunity tostudy the development of the lalioratory as it standstoday in physical e(;uipment and facilities for futureservice. On the part of the laboratory, it was the layingof a new foundation stone for the erection of a greaterlaboratory, the gaining of inspiration to press on to themaking of a new ten-year record.
