Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Five Arches entrance to Tenby town - geograph.org.uk - 893388.jpg |
English: The Five Arches entrance to Tenby town During the 13th century the Normans built a town wall at Tenby and this entrance to the town on the south west side was just a single arch. In the 14th century the present barbican tower was built, which still only had a single arch; that being the one on the far left in this picture. A further four arches were created in the 18th century and the entrance was later referred to as the Five Arches. |
