Description
English: The Firmounth Road climbing out of Glen Tanar The Firmounth Road was one of the drove roads linking Glen Esk in Angus with Deeside in Aberdeenshire. Dating from around the 13th century it was a busy trade route in its day. Every autumn the drove roads would be used to take cattle from their breeding grounds in the Highlands to markets in the Lowlands.
