English: The Engineers' Memorial. This memorial near the Pier Head was commissioned to commemorate the bravery of the engineers on the Titanic. During construction it was amended to include all mariners lost during World War I. The inscription on this south face reads:
THE BRAVE DO NOT DIE THEIR DEEDS LIVE FOR EVER AND CALL UPON US TO EMULATE THEIR COURAGE AND DEVOTION TO DUTY See also 1036124 |
