Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Diamond Oak A rare example of an individually named tree. Why diamond? With a girth of 20ft, this fine old tree is an estimated 250 years old, which rules out the theory that it could have been planted to commemorate Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee. As George III died a few months before his diamond jubilee, it clearly doesn't refer to him either.
