It is the second plan which has been adopted. The plan having been settled, Mr. Albanoproceeded to pull down the whole interior ofthe audience part and parts adjoining, and tore-arrange it. He has thus been able to getan enormous auditory, and a grand range ofsaloons with suitable approaches. In the grand front, the chief alteration isthe carrying of a carriage-way beneath theportico, whereby visitors are saved the annoy-ance of getting out of their carriages in thewet, and the street approaches are widened.
