Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Dashwood Mausoleum - geograph.org.uk - 92557.jpg |
English: The Dashwood Mausoleum. The huge hexagonal mausoleum on West Wycombe Hill. Behind it can be seen the tower of the unusual classical-style church on the top of the hill. Above the tower can be seen the golden orb, big enough to hold several people, and formerly used for secret meetings.
At night the mausoleum is floodlit and is a quite remarkable and somewhat eerie sight. This photo was taken across the fields in the adjacent grid square. |
