Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Daneway - geograph.org.uk - 1054683.jpg |
English: The Daneway. The Daneway itself is a wonderfully unspoilt and cosy country inn. It was built as a hostel for those constructing the nearby 1054684 and became the Bricklayer's Arms thereafter. It was renamed The Daneway long after the last boat passed by on the Thames & Severn Canal in the second decade of the 20th century. The infilled Daneway Lock, which marks the western end of the summit level of the canal from 1049534 is currently buried under the car park in the foreground. |
