The Presi-dent asked for a special appropriation for theHavana water supply, sewers and pavementsfor Havana, Santiago de Cuba water supply,$2,500,000 for new public buildings, and anappropriation of $250,000 for lighthouses.The Presidents report contained informationthat the customs collections for the last sixmonths reached .$21,000,000, which exceededthe total for the same period of 1914 by thesum of $2,000,000. DAMAGE CASES AGAINST MEXICO It is Stated that Cuban property in Mexicohas been damaged in the course of the Mexi-can Revolution and that Cuba is now pre-paring to present these claims to the govern-ment established bv General Carranza.
