The Confluente Sugar Co. has one new20 ton locomotive and 50 cane cars for useon the narrow gauge railway owned by thatcompany and operated in connection with itsfactory at Guantanamo, Oriente Province. THE CUBA REVIEW 27 AGRICULTURAL AND HORTICULTURAL Prof. J. T. Crawley, director of the CubanExperiment Station, says that if the citruscanker gains a foothold in Cuba, they (thegrowers) will have to find another market fortheu fruit, for the United States will im-mediately place a quarantine on all citrusfruit. Even .should imjiortations be allowed by the Federal Horticultural Board, the sev-eral states, says Prof. Crawley, would estab-lish state quarantines. Great effoits are being made in Florida toeradicate the disease, and that state andTexas are in favor of an absolute prohibitionof the introduction of any citrus stock.
