| Description | This is along one of the infamous stretches of the trail down to Lago Desierto where horses (and now bicycles) have caused so much erosion that the ruts swallow up the bike. They get so narrow in places that might bike got stuck! Fortunately my bike is a bit narrower than most, so with a little elbow-grease (and the help of gravity -- this was a very steep downhill) I could force it through. Unfortunately I have a few impressive gashes and holes in my side-bags to remind me of this particular adventure. |
