Description
English: Islamic scholar walks the marble floor of Al-Azhar Mosque. Al-Azhar University and associated Al-Azhar Mosque in Islamic Cairo, is Egypt's oldest university. It was founded in 970 by the Fatimids as a centre of Islamic learning. Al-Azhar remains a deeply influential institution in Egyptian society and entire Sunni Muslim world.
