Title
English: The Country Inn, Georgetown, Washington, ca. 1914
Description
English: Before it was annexed to Seattle in 1910, Georgetown was a separate city connected to Seattle by streetcar. In the 1910s, downtown Georgetown had numerous businesses, including the Country Inn roadhouse. This photo, taken around 1914, shows the front of the Country Inn. Visitors to the tavern could take a streetcar or carriage right to the door, or could park their automobile in the off-street parking lot.
