97 Remedial measures which are of value have been found to be spray-ing with arsenitea and banding. Spraying by the use of a gasoline-power outfit has proved to be the most effective, such spiking, usinglime arsenite wkh soda, having reduced the injury in a certain orchardwhich had previously been from 40 to 60 per cent to 10 per cent. By the use of proper preventive measures, spraying and banding,for a number of years, the injury due to the codling moth can bereduced from nearly 100 per cent to 5 or 10 per cent in an orchard inan)T locality.
