Description
English: A Buddhist Magazine titled “Meththawalokanaya” comprising information about Buddhism, which has been published by Meththawalokana Buddhist Publications Centre, was presented to the Chief Prelate of the Asgiri Chapter of the Siam Sector, Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Mahanayake Thero by Mr. Buddhika Sanjeewa, The Founder, President & Chief Editor at the Asgiri Maha Viharaya, Kandy, Sri Lanka on April 27, 2016.

Meththawalokanaya our slogan is “The Aspiration of Meththa to Enlighten the Minds” and Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thero was highly appreciated our slogan on the occasion. The Asgiri Mahanayake Thero was happy of our official website “www.meththawalokanaya.com” and the monthly Buddhist Magazine. Asgiri Mahanayake Thero said, “Meththawalokanaya” is a most valuable current issue for Sri Lankan Buddhism in these days. Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thero was blessed Meththawalokanaya for future success and told will give any support to “Meththawalokanaya” for distribute worldwide. Meththawalokana Buddhist Publications Centre is a Non-Profit Organization for Buddhist Publications in Sri Lanka and their mission is to provide worldwide accessibility to Buddhist writings and publications via new technology. They also target to teach good habits and qualities to different generations through the teachings of Buddhism, especially youth. The magazine comprises of special articles on Buddhism written by preeminent Buddhist monks in Sri Lanka and printed and published every full moon poya day.

Meththawalokanaya Magazine is absolutely free for the general public and has been distributed to 1000 selected main Buddhist temples, 1000 school libraries, 1000 general libraries and 2000 devotees who observe Sil in Sri Lanka during every month.
