English: The Chian Lagynos or Lugynos, Lagonea, Lagynoi the pot for offering wine. In ancient times the shape was identified with good wine, and was used for advertising of good quality wine. Also used as decanter of aged wine and measuring other liquids. One lagynos could contain 6 kotylas (latin: cotinas) of liquid [Giorgos Koutsouflakis, 2013. Ναυσιπλοΐα και Εμπορευματική Διακίνηση στο Νότιο Ευβοϊκό (6ος αι. π.Χ. - 14ος αι. μ.Χ.) National Kapodistrian University of Athens. PhD Thesis]. Left one found on the Kinburn Spit (Ukraine) by scientists of Black Sea International Underwater Archaeological Expedition of NASU, right one Museum of Acropolis (Greece). Українська: Хіоській Лагінос - спецільна судина для продажу та декантування дорогого вина. В античні часи використовувалось для реклами дорогого вина та декантації. Також слугувала як мірний посуд.
