Some are clapping their hands tothe measure of a chant which they are singing.Foremost among them are Queen Karoamaand the royal daughters, three of whomare seen standing behind their mother. Theirnames, here known for the first time, are Tasbakheper, Karoama, and Armer. The queen,exercising her prerogative as hereditary high-priestess of Amen, assists the king in makingofferings; but he is more frequently accom-panied by Bast herself.
