Rest rooms, mani-cure parlors, etc., have been provided for the comfort andcleanliness of operators. They also occupy one whole sectionof the large building on Ashland Avenue, which formerly wasknown as the Chicago Junction Belt Line Buildings. Theoriginal buildings built in 1911 contain in all approximately250,000 square feet of floor area and are of heavy mill con-struction and sprinkled. A. S. Alschuler was architect forthese buildings. With the exception of space occupied by theWrigley Company the buildings are occupied by several con-cerns, among them being, Herman Reach Company, bags andburlap: Pacific Mutual Door Company, doors; McClernanMetal Products Company, manufacturers of kitchen cabinets;Manufacturers & Retailers Company, wholesale grocers, andWestinghouse Lamp Corppany.
