Description
English: Celtic crosses, Main Street, Burley in Wharfedale, West Yorkshire. The crosses are monuments to the owners of Greenholme Mills from 1850. On the left, William Forster (1818–86) (the same man whose statue is (was?) in Forster Square, Bradford). His home was Wharfeside, built for him in 1850. On the right, William Fison (1820–1900), who lived at the Greenholme mansion, which had been built in 1820 and has been demolished.
