On July 5, 1956, the contract with Harrison & Abramovitz, an architectural firm that designed the United nation's Dag Hammarskjöld Library Building and Lincoln Center in New York, was signed (forty architects were given secret clearances). In May 1959, construction began, and President Kennedy presided over the dedication of CIA's new Headquarters on November 28, 1961. |
