Case 3.—The patient is a man, aged 52 years, named H—, undei- Dr. A. M. H.Grays care, and is the third case of the disease exhibited at the Royal Society ofMedicine. Date of showing, February 19th, 1920; \-e\)ovt, British Journal of Derma-tology and Syphilis, July, 1920. p. 233. Dr. Gray obtained sections of this case,which reveal a typical basal-celled type of epithelioma. This patient showedlesions of the discoid red type exclusively. The first lesion began on the left cheektwelve years ago. Three years ago it was treated with radium by Dr. Lynham atthe Radium Institute under the direction of Dr. Stowers. who was then acting forDr. Gi-ay; a scar remains in sitn. He has one large lesion on the back of tlie trunkon the left side of the vertebral column at about the level of the twelfth dorsal.

All the other lesions, about eleven in number, ai-e distributed on the front of thetrunk in the positions shown in Fig. 3; their circinate character is very wellmarked. They vary in size from h in. to 1; in. in area. All the lesions areflat and red. There is very little sign of the waxy narrow margin, bx\t thiscan be made out in some of the smaller lesions. There are no examples ofthe peaily nodules, as noted in the previous two cases. There is no ulcerationin any of the patches. In some of the patches, and very notal^ly in the largepatch above the right breast at the level of the third nh, there has been a partialspontaneous involution, leaving a depressed white scar. This patient lias suffered from psoriasis since the age of 15 years, and thereare numerous typical patches of psoriasis on the elbows and the trunk at thepresent time.
