English: Najee Hamed, a shift supervisor for Iraqi police guarding the Saqlawiya Bridge and construction on a new highway bridge north of Al Taqaddum, Iraq, stands with U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Scott Thomas, first sergeant of Company C, 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division (Advise and Assist Brigade). Hamed was once a first sergeant of an Iraqi army artillery battery and was injured in Iraq's war with Iran. |
