imes shorter than the peduncle. Corolla of a reddishbrown colour, urceolately rotate, about an inch and a halfacross: 3 outer segments about 4 times the largest, elong-atedly obovate, unguis cuneate concave and papulouslyfrosted within on the space where the beard usually is inmany others, lamina shorter than the unguis, nearly round,reflected on both sides, ending in a short point: 3 innersegments spatulately cuneate, the length of the ungues ofthe outer ones, 3 or 4 times narrower than these, involutelyconcave, quite smooth, lamina very shallow oblately ovateacuminate. Stamens rather higher than the ungues of thesegments, equal to the stigmas: filaments connate or some-*times separate, rather longer than the anthers: antherslinear, blackish; pollen orange-coloured. Stigmas linearlyoblong, when the filaments are connate upright and closelyconvergent, but when these are separate widespread, of adingy purple colour; inner lip with pointed segments; outershort, of the same colour, flat.
