Another unique cart load isformed of beans; they are dried inseveral varieties, some already soakingin cold water so to be ready for the pur-chasers use almost immediately; othersare pickled, salted, even sugared, inoil, and mashed into cakes to suit alltastes. The peddler of the leatherette marketbags strolls leisurely up and down,knowing full well, if the bargains aregreat, he will sell plenty of bags to carryhome the overflow from the ones broughtfrom home. The. purchasers do not go in forvariety, but quality, quantity and sat-isfactory price are first considerations.Having no.place to store extra supplies,the vender buys only enough for thedays trade; should stock remain over^
