Description
This is a picture of the Beggs Department Store. The building was an eight story structure that was built for the D.C. Beggs Company department store, and was later occupied by the Green-Joyce Company department store before it passed to the Pure Oil Company. The Pure Oil Company housed its offices here at the corner of High and Chestnut from 1918 to 1936.
