ht lung field is occupied by a diftuseheavy shadow, probably consolidation of))neum()nia. .Additional findings: Both scapu-lae lie much higher than normal. Slight al-teration of the upper ribs, posteriorly. Diagnosis. Bilateral, complicated Spreng-els deformity; lobar pneumonia of upperright lung. Case V (Referred by Dr. Grant W. Sill).Girl, aged eight, white, of well-to-do parents,family history negative for similar defects.Patient is of robust figure, well developedand well nourished. The neck is shorter thanis normally proportionate. Patient makes nocomplaint of any kind. Her parents wish toknow why her neck is so short. No historyof injury or disease of spine (Fig.i). X-Ray Shadou Analysis.
