The editors of these maga-zines like live and interesting informative articles by personswho know from experience whereof they write. Three years of experience in writing for photographic maga-zines has taught me one vital thing: if you are interested in thepractical phases of photography, write practical articles, andnot essays on pictorial composition; and if you are artisticallyinclined to accept photography as a new means of pictorialexpression, write articles that consider the art of photography,and not any telling how to make enlarging-cameras or ruby-lamps.
