A voice from the dark says that it isbecause they all work without pay and do not have to workif they do not want to. True! When the day comes thatCamera Clubs and Photographic Societies are conducted andmanaged on a businesslike basis, with a thought for all andmalice toward none, the pictorial photographers will be seekingmembership; eager to help in promoting and cultivating theart and science of photography. And it should be so to-day.The Camera Club should not be too big for the pictorialphotographer, nor the pictorial photographer too big for theclub. Harmony should reign; with the club seeking the aidof the advanced worker and the latter in turn, offering hisassistance to the local club.
