Text Appearing Before Image:
et usface the fact that both are becoming indispensable and thatboth are ideally adapted to supplement the work of the other.Let us waste no more time in the attempt to decide which isbest; but rather let us find new ways and means to makeeach type of lens help photography to become a greaterscience and a more beautiful art than ever before. Let us beglad that a new tool has been placed in our hands rather thanthwart its purpose by ill-considered snap judgments. Theanastigmat lens has made good. The soft-focus lens ismaking good. Let us remember that there were people whodecried the steam-engine, electric light and telephone. Nowall three work together in harmony to make this world a betterplace to live in. Soft-focus and anastigmat lenses are atour disposal to make photography a greater power in thecommercial and artistic life of the world. Let us make themost of them, and let us be glad that they are helping us toreach higher and truer standards in the science and art ofphotography.
