Text Appearing Before Image:
perly charged brush and slightly hoppedto clear away the flat appearance. Figure 2 is the completed picture inked to suit the ideasof the maker. Such things as softer ink, a heavily chargedbrush, no hopping, etc., would give entirely different results, and therefore the effect of the final print is all in the handsof the worker. A comparison of this illustration with thefirst one should give an idea of what can be accomplished.Figure 3 is an example of Bromoil for sunlight and shadoweffects and this medium produces a result that is many timesmore effective than a straight bromide. The real beauty ofa Bromoil print is the inked surface and texture. Half toneillustrations are not able to show this process to advantageand therefore those who have never seen a print of this kindhave missed much. The process is not in the least expensiveand is well worth a trial. A few disappointments may beencountered at the beginning, but a reasonable amount of careand patience will soon bring success. 60
