This, with mostmakes of papers, is but a trifle more expensive than the post-card size, yet allows a wider white margin around prints fromthe postcard size negatives. Again, by simply reversing thepaper after a first print has been made it allows two prints tothe piece from negatives smaller than the 2^ x 4^ size.With the 150-watt Tungsten, and the printer described, Ihave been able to turn out five prints to the minute, about twoseconds being needed to print therewith from a negative ofordinary density and ten seconds to change negative and paperfor the next print. For the worker who needs to do moreprints an hour than three hundred recourse must be had toone of the patented printers the market affords. The use of contrasty paper almost consistently for all thework one has to do for amateurs will prevent many a disputewith customers. Artistic work, doubtless, requires one to 290
