BOULTENHOUSE. postal is set with its edges close to the outer cut out, andgiven a short or long exposure according to how dark themargin is wanted, after which the card is developed in theusual way. To make a stippled effect on the border, mix up a solutionof India ink, place it in a saucer, and take up a small quantitywith the point of a stiff paint brush. Grip the brush welldown on the bristles with the left hand, and run the fingersof the right across its points. This will spray the ink fora considerable distance, and with a little practice one canmake a nice even stipple over the plain glass that bordersthe inside mask. Innumerable variations in double and treble printing arepossible, the limit being only bounded by the ingenuity ofthe progressive photographer. A built up card is a dainty conceit if managed in an 73 artistic manner. Unfortunately there is little art in mymake-up so the crude efforts that are shown here must notbe taken as a standard to work to, but
