[edit]DescriptionThe Albert Tower - Isle of Man - geograph.org.uk - 32019.jpg |
English: The Albert Tower - Isle of Man near town of Ramsey. Photographed from the Gooseneck on the Mountain Road, with the Bride hills in the distance. The tower is made of granite and rises 45 feet (14 m) high. The tower commemorates the visit of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on the 20th of September 1847. Whilst the Queen stayed on board the Royal Yacht, Albert came ashore and climbed to the top of the hill.
