Description Good-bye, Pacer Goose. The Air Force's only tug boat was pulled from the waters of Greenland's Baffin Bay Aug. 11 marking the end of Operation Pacer Goose. The ice tug cleared the way for ships delivering 1.6 million pounds of cargo and 15 million gallons of fuel this year to Thule Air Base, Greenland.
