Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Afon Tywi and Tywi Forest near Moel Prysgau - geograph.org.uk - 1525759.jpg |
English: The Afon Tywi and Tywi Forest near Moel Prysgau. The former cattle drovers' road fords the river several times below the forest covered Moel Prysgau.
About two thirds of the way up on the right, a break in the trees reveals the presence of a road within the forest. On recent OS 1:25000 maps this is marked as the course of the Lôn Las Cymru cycle route, which meanders up to Crug yr Wern, then eventually rejoins the drovers' road at SN808597 1570929 I can only guess that this is an alternative route to the obvious (and much shorter) one along the valley byway, which involves crossing some potentially hazardous fords. |
